Great BSG.
'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Re: DW
My brain's handwaving logic circuits are very erratic. They're perfectly willing to accept instantaneous DNA replication, but balk at these "children" being created fully clothed.
yes, and with perfect mascara.
I did not realize I was such a die-hard shipper until I was shouting "Kiss her already!" at the screen and then waving my jazz hands at the above dialogue.
This is me, except I did know I was a diehard Bill/Laura shipper, and have been since he kissed her back in S2. I've been wanting those crazy kids to get together for so long now, and this ep made me very happy.
Also loved that Baltar's security "slip" has finally come to light, and that I really thought that Laura was going to let him die.
Actually, just about everything about this ep made me a happy BSG fan. Deanna choking Cavill (and Boomer running like a frightened bunny), then her faking out Roslin and keeping her secrets to herself for maximum leverage, even her caring about Baltar's injury (I forgot about their little threesome!). Helo's being the decent, honest man he is, but still the good soldier and following orders. The faux Athena being shown (yet again) that Sixes can't trust anyone. Baltar's duplicitous side coming out in his trying to weasel his way into a centurion's psyche. Topped off with that final scene.
Can't wait for next week!!
I guess Boomer's dead for real this time.
And - that BSG was one of Jane Espenson's???!!??
I know! It's the first one of hers I've liked.
Also loved that Baltar's security "slip" has finally come to light, and that I really thought that Laura was going to let him die.
Me too! As much as I wanted to slap him upside the head for rationalizing his actions that much. That's right, buddy, just blame God for everything, and no one has to be responsible for his actions, ever! Awesome! I liked him better before he found God.
I guess Boomer's dead for real this time.
Huh? Oh, you mean the one on the Hub? I didn't think of that.
I didn't watch the promo for next week. The promos this season have been way too stupidly spoilery.
I thought that Boomer was dead but then others pointed out that she could have run away while Three was killing Cavil. In which case, the scenario that I am worried about that Boomer kills Helo could still happen.
*worried*
Stop talking nonsense about Helo. Helo is safe, damnit!
And, Leoben's on Galactica, right? Right?
Boomer ran right after Three killed Cavil but I would simply assume she ran to some other part of the ship.
Leoben was on the rebel basestar - the Leonbens were one of the Cylon models that rebelled.
Boomer could have run to the raptor that she and Cavil took to the Hub.
If someone finds a link to the new DW let me know. My site has been slow lately.
