Okay, I didn't see the cuffs.
'Hell Bound'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Wow! I just watched on Hulu. the biggest wtf for me was why future Barry waived past Barry off and he let his mother die.
I still don't quite get that, but then we wouldn't keep things in the present the same. The helmet is the other wtf? How? Why? What?
Thanks for the list, msbelle.
Yeah, Barry in jail is the most interesting. Flash Museum is a nice Easter Egg but I'm good with them getting around to it whenever. I do like them keeping the fact that the Flash is involved in and beloved by his community with this show (or at least actively working toward it.) As much as I'm still enjoying Arrow, I hadn't realized just how sick I was of "dark and gritty" superheroes until this show started and was actually fun. (I mean, I knew I was getting tired of all the bleak and brooding, just not the degree.)
Word on the street is that Arrow is going to lighten up next season, also.
They could hardly go darker.
My guess is future!Barry knows something current Barry doesn't.
The helmet belongs to Jay Garrick, the Golden Age Flash. Thawne said the wormhole would lead to all times and places. Apparently there is a time and place where Jay Garrick existed in the TV universe/multiverse.

I'm not at all happy about this. I like Arrow how it is, and I don't want it to be more like The Flash. The Flash is just okay in my book. I was also happy to see iZombie to get darker.
I happen to like dark and I like the fact that Arrow is a pretty dark show particularly for a network show. That said, every year you want to mix things up and there was sort of a collective desire on all of our parts to try to inject a little bit more lightness into the show, a little bit more humor. It’s not going to radically change.

That will be interesting to see. I wouldn't want, at this point, for the show to change its tone too much. I like the two shows having different feels. After 3 seasons of brooding Ollie, I wouldn't really want him to suddenly become the quipping Robin Hood of the comics/JLU but him lightening up a bit wouldn't be bad.
Going back and watching S1 Arrow compared to S3, it seems to me it was a lot lighter while still being dark. You had lots of trauma and plenty of doom and death.
