Buffy ,'Dirty Girls'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
That was intense?
Exactly. Hence my point about avoiding bureaublahblah during high post times.
BSG: interview with Jamie Bamber - teasery but not spoilery.
That was intense?
Also a point, that was only a score or two of posts. Wait till some discussion that crops up that runs for three hundred posts, and the most acrimonious it gets is when there is a misunderstanding that can later be chalked up to a typo that produces a word that really does mean something completely other than the author of the post really meant, and most people catch the mistake so don't get too het up about it.
Signed, Someone who once argued for five minutes with a roommate over whether to buy whole milk or 3.5% milk, for the fun of it.
3.5% milk? Who knew.
We call that whole milk DELUXE.
Depends on what part of the country you are in. the minimum milkfat in whole milk is listed by wikipedia as 3.25%. 3.7% seems average.
I've had raw milk at farmhouses. You have to stir it to keep it from separating.
Even then you can get one heck of a cream mustache.
I'm watching Fear Itself now. Very very creepy. I haven't seen Rachel Miner in anything in ages. She's still a good actress.
Charlie Jade, I'll definitely have to give that show a second episode or three. My first thought was that the budget did it in. Okay (old) pilot, my biggest complaint is that it is very hard to see, no matter the verse.
More currently "Hello, Dad" !!! Jenny is made of so much win.
grits.
Freema f***ing knocked it out of the park when she lost her Hath friend (although part of me is pissed that she didn't jump back in to save him/her, and then we could get a comedic sequence of them jumping in to save each other until the most tired one finally dies). I still think that DW hits the dark horrific notes more better than Torchwood. I can't explain it, but I'm always affected more by DW on a weekly basis than I am with the TW characters and stories per season. It seems like when DW sets out to create AWESOME CHARACTER, they actually succeed. And when they set out to RIP YOUR HEART OUT, they succeed, whereas TW seems kinda meh even on it's best days. I dunno, just an overall impression of enjoyment and investment with not a lot of thought behind it beyond "this is what I've been thinking since TW first aired (even when it was good)".
