Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Yeah, I don't think their marriage is legally enforceable, just that the show did acknowledge it happened.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So ... what do you give for a League of Assassins wedding present? (his and hers daggers?)

What did they call the preventive patches Merlyn secretly got got onto everyone? That seems like a good gift.

Or candlesticks are always nice.

we can blackfont promos, but did we decide if that ncludes internet promos? If so, we can blackfont the Legends of Tomorrow promo.

It's not so much a promo as a trailer, which is kind of a different beast, although I'm not sure that matters because the Supergirl trailer stuff up above is blackfonted.

I guess the question is is there anyone who objects to blackfonting it. Supergirl really didn't give away much other than the casting, and it's a new universe. Legends contains several spoilers for an existing universe.

I'm sure we've had this discussion before, but I obviously can't remember it (or I wouldn't ask this): what's the difference between a promo and a trailer, other than length? If it's just a difference of length, I feel like a trailer is still "promotional content that is released before the show," and that would be blackfonted.

I don't actually feel argue-y about this; I don't mind whitefonting stuff in trailers if that's what we do for TV shows. I just am wondering what's the difference between a promo and a trailer and why one gets blackfont and the other gets whitefont.

Legends contains several spoilers for an existing universe.

Very true, but that's the nature of the beast. It's also why the explosion at Palmer Technology at the end of Arrow wasn't an HSQ moment (for me), because we know Ray is in Legends.

I don't know if we ever resolved that question. I will say, I appreciate the whitefonting of stuff that's just now been released on the internet because I am often in a position of being able to read posts but not click on links/watch videos. I often still read the whitefont, but I like having that decision in my hands.

We have determined that casting does not have to be blackfonted, right? I feel like that was settled.

Trailers tend to much longer than promos, so there's more than just a brief glance at what's coming, and they occasionally have stuff from more than one episode, although I don't think that's the case here. In fact I think much of the footage is actually from next week's Flash.

Maybe the difference between black and white is that who's there is okay, but not how they got there?
