Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Not caught up on IZombie, but Flash was pretty great last night.
Did anyone who has also seen Daredevil find themselves
comparing Iris's reaction to Foggy's?
I also thought Iris went a little too easy on Joe, because his reason for insisting she stay in the dark never made any fucking sense.
Flash's mind control protection helmet needed a chin strap. Serious design flaw.
I'm confused about the kidnapping Eddie play here. Wells called him his insurance policy I think, but I would think messing with Eddie's timeline by feeding him info about the future would be incredibly dangerous for his great....great grandson.
Also, didn't Wells already reveal that his real last name is Thawne during one of those scenes with Cisco - the dream one or the one with the double? You'd think they'd put two and two together.

He needed to put it on under his cowl. But then that would have made it much harder to knock off, which would have deprived us of the gag-worthy Iris "Do it for ME, Barry!" scene.
I don't get the kidnapping of Eddie either. I don't get a lot though.
Barry had to get faster to help get Evil Dr. Ed back to the future, so his speed plays some role. Whatever EDE had last night in the tube to light up the fancy tunnel either I missed what that was or he has had it all along?
I guess EDE had some sort of plan for getting back, but his timetable has been sped up by everyone figuring his shit out?
I don't care about Barry and Iris, I don't ship anyone on this show, which is a damn shame.
How do you solve a problem like Grodd?
See I really get nothing? It is all big wha? to me.
My guess is Wells needs to get Barry to chase him into his giant tunnel of doom, which will somehow allow him to harness Barry's speed and give him the jump start he needs to get back to the future.

Yeah, I think it's something like that. And really Barry should help him do that because - one less bad guy, right? But Barry won't do that because he needs him around to get some kind of confession to free his dad. Which is frustrating because it puts everyone else in unbelievable danger.
As an attorney, I'm having a hard time believing that Barry doesn't have enough evidence to re-open his Dad's case. He's got Cisco's "picture" that proves that the reverse flash was at the crime scene, he's got his own adult DNA that proves that time-travel is possible for speedsters, and he's got Real!Wells body that proves that Wells is someone else. I think there's more evidence too, but it's tv logic so unless you get a confession on camera it won't work (assuming a good attorney won't get the confession thrown out on the plausible theory that it was a double making it.)
Yay! I really liked last night's episode. I actually have some faith in the CW sticking with shows. They certainly did with Nikita.
omg, even fairly spoiled Arrow is killing me. I know it is bad because I am watching in real time. People, I am watching commercials.
I remain boggled at how fast air travel is between Starling City and Nanda Parbat. It's like NYC and DC, or something.
Yeah, they might as well be teleporting.
As for the show, I have no idea what the fuck is going on at this point. Soooo, did Oliver actually see Diggle's face in the opening scene in the last ep? Because he totally murderized that guy. Or was he faking then and said, "ah well, a random league dude, whaddaya gonna do?" He was also totally gonna kill Nyssa!
Also, I can't believe he trusted Malcolm, OF COURSE he was gonna stab you in the back! Unless his betrayal was also a fake-out.
Uh, I'm assuming the gas released from that vial is some kind of a sedative obviously. Man, his friends are gonna kick his ass SO MUCH after all this is over. Diggle's pissed enough that I'm actually afraid he is gonna say "fuck you all" then just LEAVE at the end of the season.
