Yay! I really liked last night's episode. I actually have some faith in the CW sticking with shows. They certainly did with Nikita.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
omg, even fairly spoiled Arrow is killing me. I know it is bad because I am watching in real time. People, I am watching commercials.
I remain boggled at how fast air travel is between Starling City and Nanda Parbat. It's like NYC and DC, or something.
Yeah, they might as well be teleporting.
As for the show, I have no idea what the fuck is going on at this point. Soooo, did Oliver actually see Diggle's face in the opening scene in the last ep? Because he totally murderized that guy. Or was he faking then and said, "ah well, a random league dude, whaddaya gonna do?" He was also totally gonna kill Nyssa!
Also, I can't believe he trusted Malcolm, OF COURSE he was gonna stab you in the back! Unless his betrayal was also a fake-out.
Uh, I'm assuming the gas released from that vial is some kind of a sedative obviously. Man, his friends are gonna kick his ass SO MUCH after all this is over. Diggle's pissed enough that I'm actually afraid he is gonna say "fuck you all" then just LEAVE at the end of the season.
iZombie was intense this episode. Definitely upping the realness.
iZombie was renewed!!
WOOT!
I really don't see how two weeks of training with Nyssa (or whatever it was) could get Laurel to the point where she can take on a horde of League Assassins. But, hey, superhero logic.
Also, Team Arrow needs to get on the phone with Cisco and get him to rig up some radio earpieces that also counteract the Canary Cry. I was expecting Diggle to get shot when he reached into his pocket for those earplugs.
In situations like that, couldn't they have one of the vigilantes use their brain and bring knockout gas and a mask to screen it rather than suddenly developing Bruce Lee-level fighting skills?
So here are some things bugging me:
- I want Lyla POV from 3x21 to 3x22
- I want scenes we are missing from 3x19 - 3x21 whenever Oliver worked out plan with Malcolm
- why why why could we not get a line with Nyssa objecting to wedding because he is a man. Why did her sexuality have to remain unvoiced?
- I need a timeline of episodes btw arrow and flash it has been off for a while.
- on topic of the two shows - how did the time reversal only affect CC?
- why no canary cry in NP?
Because knockout gas would be boring, Matt.
On the time reversal, I imagine it only affected Central City because the changes Barry made didn't really have any cascade effects outside of town (or at least, not noticeable ones). I imagine that the reversed day just repeated itself with little-to-no changes in the rest of the world.
No clue why Laurel didn't hit the assassins with a Canary Cry. My handwave would be she didn't want to risk damaging Felicity's hacking gear.
One note, I thought the Katana costume was pretty well done.
