She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

In Plain Sight was really good. I loved Mary Shannon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I loved Mary Shannon.

I felt like Mary Shannon was who I might have become if I'd turned my anger outward instead of inward. We had similar personalities other than that. I felt a lot of kinship with her.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My joy at dicovering my cable system now gets BBC America and the El Ray network is being somewhat dampened by the fact that I've had C.H.U.D. showing on the latter for the past 50 minutes and still nothing has happened so far. Were all the 80s horror movies this boring and I just hadn't been desensitized by MTV and high-octane SFX blockbusters yet? It just seems impossible that I have less patience as a 45-year-old man than I did as a teenager.

Edit: FINALLY! At the 1:16 mark a CHUD appeared onscreen for half a second and killed someone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OUAT wasn't too bad last night. I think the episode benefited from not having Emma, Snow, or Charming in it.

You aren't wrong. Their storyline is pretty dumb right now. But I did not entirely follow all the new plot twists - Rumpelstiltskin is being evil under duress from the Wicked Witch, right? What does she have over him? I was watching while I was doing my taxes, but I didn't catch how taunting him with the heart healing stuff led to them being in league or him being under her control or whatever is going on.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

iZombie continues to be amazing fun and I kinda like the potential new love interest. Although I worry he is one of Zombie!Sark's customers. And am worried about Major (who for some reason reminds me of Capt. Awesome).

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Bradley James! (He played Arthur on BBC Merlin). Blonde or brunette, who can forget those cheekbones. I liked him and hope he'll be recurring.

That was like an acid flashback to S1 Veronica Mars, what with Dick Casablancas and mentions of GHB. I kinda expected Lowell to be a zombie given his sudden interest in Liv, but the Captain being a zombie was a shock.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was like an acid flashback to S1 Veronica Mars, what with Dick Casablancas and mentions of GHB.

Plus some Party Down with Willy the Wino's catchphrase of "Are we having fun yet?"

the Captain being a zombie was a shock.

Yes!! I love how they've coded hot sauce to zombieism. Hee.

And am worried about Major (who for some reason reminds me of Capt. Awesome).

Same on both counts. I was afraid the new body for Liv was his.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think I hate Iris West more than I hate Laurel. I'm just fast-forwarding through her scenes now.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I like the actress, but the "hero's love interest makes really bad decisions because everyone is keeping them in the dark" was horrible enough on Arrow. I have no idea why they felt the need to repeat it on The Flash.
