I never like voiceovers. I grudgingly tolerated them in Veronica Mars because they are so ubiquitous in noir, but I generally wish they would go away.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I like the in-show voiceovers. It's one of the things that reminds me of Veronica Mars.
I like the in-show voiceovers a lot, for the same reason. They aren't redundant like the intro voiceover.
Man, I wish I could watch iZombie, but the brain-in-noodles bit in all the previews squicked me way the hell away from the show.
Yeah, I wasn't charmed by cannibalism from Hannibal Lecter, I'm not charmed by it from a Manic Pixie Dead Thing.
I would definitely not characterize that character as a Manic Pixie.
Well, that's what I saw in the previews. I haven't bothered with the show.
I love the brain eating, from the microwave noodles to the gourmet stuff going on at Meat Cute, but it really isn't on screen much.
Zombies literally give me nightmares. I'll be relieved when the zeitgeist moves on to the next thing.
I would definitely not characterize that character as a Manic Pixie.
Word.
Unfortunately, Forever is likely to be cancelled, which I find sad. All sorts of interesting plotlines going on, though they're trying to push a romance between Dr. Henry and Jo the cop.
