Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Compassionately intolerant

HER PHONE CODE IS HIS BIRTHDAY. YOU GUYS.

I felt strongly that this was a very common-sensical choice on her part her make it easy for him to use the phone...which seemed like a storytelling imperative at some point.

Though, totally cute at the same time.

Given how nearly impossible it is for ME to use a cellphone, I would have wished for I to have struggled just a tiny bit more before mastering magical technology.

Though he is clearly a savant of adaptation to the environment.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

It appears that Ichabod Crane and I share a birthday.

(btw, that finale was awesome!)

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Yeah, I was wondering if 1981 me could've done much better than 1781 Ichabod. I think I would've been quicker to recognize the "on" button, but that's about it.

And as a shameless and unabashed Ichabod/Abbie shipper, that episode got me in the feels in multiple ways.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My work day was VERY slow, so I re-watched the finale, and then I rewatched the pilot, and I didn't realize how many things in the finale were shoutouts to the pilot (the Starbucks references, the women in trousers references, and something else I already forgot). SO GOOD.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think I watched a different episode from everyone else. There were no major reveals, no big twists or cliffhangers, and even Katrina's death was fairly expected. Although, I did think the final scene was nice and would be a good note to end on if it isn't renewed.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I think the reason it made me so happy is that I felt like I was finally getting the show I fell in love with back after a frustrating sophomore slump of a season. Sure, it was basically a giant reset button, but that's exactly what I wanted it to be. If it's renewed (please please please let it be renewed), they're in a position to be awesome again.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I felt that way about the episode before the finale but not the finale itself.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

HER PHONE CODE IS HIS BIRTHDAY. YOU GUYS.

Anyone else go to a "I AM SHERLOCKED" place with that?

Since Katia Winter has expressed serious doubt about wanting to come back, it's just possible we've seen the last of Katrina.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Fuckin' Fish Mooney, man. Damn.

I would like more Sleepy Hollow now, please and thank you.
