I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

HER PHONE CODE IS HIS BIRTHDAY. YOU GUYS.

Anyone else go to a "I AM SHERLOCKED" place with that?

Since Katia Winter has expressed serious doubt about wanting to come back, it's just possible we've seen the last of Katrina.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Fuckin' Fish Mooney, man. Damn.

I would like more Sleepy Hollow now, please and thank you.

Aww, I enjoyed that Sleepy Hollow, but then I'm a sucker for time-travel stories.

Frankly, Abby should have had a WAY worse time in 1781, but I don't mind too much. And I loved the end, with Team Sleepy Hollow made up of three African Americans and one Brit severely displaced in time.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Aww, I enjoyed that Sleepy Hollow, but then I'm a sucker for time-travel stories.

I lost interest in the time travel as soon as I realized that the end goal was to make sure it never happened in the first place and, therefore, there would be no consequences for anything she did while she was there.

Frankly, Abby should have had a WAY worse time in 1781, but I don't mind too much. And I loved the end, with Team Sleepy Hollow made up of three African Americans and one Brit severely displaced in time.

Yes, I loved this image, and also that a show with that many African-Americans had two fatalities and none of them were the African Americans.

Gorgeous.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, I was wondering if 1981 me could've done much better than 1781 Ichabod. I think I would've been quicker to recognize the "on" button, but that's about it.

Honestly, I don't think that someone with obviously superior intellect and an eidetic memory would have that difficult a time with everyday inventions - regardless of the complexity of the technology behind things, cellphones and microwaves are designed to be usable by the people you see shuffling through Wal-Mart at 2 a.m. Someone who's used to breaking elaborate cyphers would be able to figure out the codes and steps we use pretty easily as long as he has pointers from Abbie to go by.

Driving would be a bit more difficult as he hasn't had the years of exposure and practice to get the reflexes down, but I think the real problems would come in areas where social context would be foreign to him. For example, vast amounts of information are a click away on the internet, but Ichabod doesn't have the familiarity to help him determine what's useful knowledge and what's unrealistic drivel posted by tweens, or serious-sounding articles on satirical websites. Urbanized life with vastly larger population densities affect how people relate to neighbors and to their own parents, and with mechanization and mass production most people work in somewhat abstract professions rather than producing goods directly by hand or just living off their own farming efforts.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

All very true, Matt! Although it bugs me that Ichabod can figure out a new cellphone faster than I can.

I don't mind, EXCEPT I wish that last week's ep had been the midseason break and the entire last half of this season had been in 1781 trying to put things back the way they were. It wrapped up way too fast, and I wanted more.

I wanted SOMEBODY in 1781 to be impressed with the zippers on Abby's clothes, at the very least.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Wait... Ras is the Dread Pirate Roberts?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm sure Franklin would have gotten around to it.

Wait... Ras is the Dread Pirate Roberts?

An excellent question!
