Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What about Saga, Steph? Are you not reading Saga ? WHY ARE YOU NOT READING SAGA.

Also, WTF Convergence.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I took the metaphor to mean the network was slowing down (i.e., only airing the initial 13 and not filming a full season) but not yet canceling it.

Fair enough. I was reading the show as being pretty much stopped by the cut order, which I can see that you're right, they could extend the season.

Elongated man was treated as a joke of a character in the 70's, if I recall. I seem to remember a red outfit and sunglasses.

ETA: or was that plastic man? hmm. Off to Google!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yep. Plastic man. Whew. No wonder I was surprised when I saw EMan later and he was drawn more seriously.

I was conflating the two.

Hey, at least I wasn't thinking of Mr Fantastic. I stayed within the right universe.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm sad yet reassured that almost nothing DC has put out since 2006 makes me regret my boycott.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Batman still exists and gets new canon I know nothing about. That's made me kinda sad for years.

Is no one watching Gotham, or is it not interesting enough to discuss? Or did I ask the wrong questions?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I gave up on Gotham a while ago. Is it any better?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I'm watching Gotham. Just posting every intermittently.

I actually think Bruce is well on his way to being psycho bat man. It has only been a few months since his parents died. He is already obsessed and essentially cut off from everyone but Alfred. it does not look like he will see Cat all that often. Don't worry about the "nice. Give him a year or two down this path and he will lose the "nice".

Ditto.
