A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
(Okay, Cyber-Brig did have another point, which was to have saved Kate.)
That's all I really noticed him doing. I'd have preferred it, I think, if the Doctor had been the one to pull the trigger; but if not, the Brig at least also has an extensive history with the Master.
They...put Jenna Coleman's name first.
I missed that, but I did notice that they used Coleman's eyebrows instead of Capaldi's (the eyebrows is our favorite part of the opening credits).
Sleepy Hollow: I don't dislike Hawley, but he takes up valuable screen time I'd rather see filled by Jenny and Irving, who are being criminally underused so far.
And I *really* don't want to see conflict forced into existence by some crazy love triangle dealie, but it seems like that's exactly what the show is aiming for.
I love that Ichabod has an opinion on The Bachelor (and that Katrina wants more reality TV). AWESOME.
Making Katrina see the wee baby Moloch as a human infant rather than a hellspawn is kind of cheap, if what it's leading to is her inability to kill Moloch because it's a baaaaaaaaby.
Maybe she thinks that a little mothering is all Moloch needs to turn out good. After all, look at the bang-up job she did with Jeremy.
Yeah, every time Katrina or Ichabod insists there's still good in Henry, I am 100% on Team Abbie Gives The Side-Eye.
That said, I can see Henry's redemption arc (with possible Meaningful Sacrifice of his own life) coming a mile away.
My hope with the MolochBaby is that Katrina goes along with it knowing full well it's bullshit and then gets a good "Fuck you - that's what you get for underestimating me," scene.
I thought they did a pretty good job integrating Katrina -- and I liked Abbie and Ichabod being all "Well, check you out, with your useful knowledge and stuff," when she added her two cents to the succubus discussion.
Adored Ichabod working out Hawley/Abbie possibilities.
I'm glad Katrina is a serious player in the game, not just Ichabod's quest. Seeing them snuggling in front of the TV was very sweet. I hope Ichabod doesn't get his heart broken by her. I can see her telling him she loves him but she has a bigger purpose in life that conflicts with being his wife. Kind of Slayeresque.
edited for pronouns
One thing that confuses me, wasn't Moloch already able to walk the earth back when Abbie and Jenny were kids and he dug Henry up? What changed?

Yep.
I don't remember enough of Season 1 to know whether they addressed why Moloch needed to be re-Earthed.
I really wish they'd ditch Hawley and give us back Awesome Mills Sisters. And Irving, who is being sadly underused. Is Orlando Jones working on a different project or something? We've hardly seen him.
