Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If Ra's is responsible for Sara's death, I doubt he pulled the trigger himself. The two most likely candidates (going by the comics; they haven't appeared in the show yet) would be Shiva or Talia.

Given the overall direction of the show, if they go this route, there will probably be a sisterly showdown between Nyssa and Talia later this season.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Confession time - I've watched the first two episodes of the new season of "The 100" ... don't know if I'm deluded, but it seems to have improved.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Yeah, it's starting to sound more likely that Ra's sent someone to kill Sara and pin it on Merlyn. If he doesn't believe she was truly one of the League but also didn't want Nyssa to know he ordered her death, the current situation makes more sense.

ETA: I'm still not sure Ra's is responsible, though.

Side note: Diggle in street clothes running around with three hooded archers looked amusingly out of place.

Thrive to spite them

oh and I wasn't sure what was going on with Oliver's flashback stuff.

I know he wasn't on the island the whole time, he escaped with people and then was "rescued" but it wasn't really rescuing and at some point he discovers Sara is alive. Then he ends up working as a hired killer for a kind of secret government woman for reasons I don't understand. What was holding him back from contacting his family? And is this the part where he becomes a big deal with the Russians (I remember that from the first season ). I'm pretty sure S2 is on Netflix i need to watch it.

I did have to shake my head at Laurel's "This is all my fault" speech to Ollie. No, I think the grieving master assassin was planning to put an arrow into the man she believes murdered her girlfriend well before you told her to.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Diggle in street clothes running around with three hooded archers looked amusingly out of place.

I can dig that Ollie might need coverage because he's famous, but why does the kid need to hide his face if Diggle doesn't?

Katy Cassidy did a good job with the punching bag. I feel all warm and fuzzy and am thinking fondly of Ruby 1.0.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Decided that Trubel on Grimm should be referred to as Punky Grimmster from now on.
