A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Wouldn't she just be Speedy? Mia Dearden ("Dearden" being Thea's middle name) was the last Speedy in the comics (or the last Speedy I read pre-new 52).
And don't think I didn't notice that the gardener referred to Thea as "Mia" when he told Ollie she was working at the cafe. So signs point more to Speedy. Hell, she already has the name.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if she was going by Mia Dearden.
I think they're pretty clearly setting Laurel up to become Black Canary. Though I'm annoyed they felt the need to make Ted Grant young and attractive instead of a grizzled old fighter, likely so he could be a potential love interest.
ETA: I will say it's odd they felt the need to emphasize Sara's years of training in an episode that showed Roy taking down armed soldiers with his fists and Thea being a pain-immune bad ass swordswoman when they've only had about a year and 6 months training, respectively.
Well, this is happening:

I'm at a different office today so I'm just listening in on the conference line. Yowza!
All the stability in the world to you, Jess.
Extended promo for The Flash next week: [link]
That flower pattern skirt Felicity is wearing in the first scene! I need it in my life.
I would never in a million years want to take Felicity away from Arrow, but tonally, her character seems a better fit for The Flash universe, even from that 30 second promo.
Well, I don't work for the channel, and my department probably won't be too affected. But roughly a third of the office will probably be working for AMC in 6 months.
Jessica, hope all goes well for you with the changes.
More thoughts on Forever. I have a guess as to where the curse comes from (though not the how) based on a single facial expression.
Back in the pilot, when Henry was trying to keep the slave from being thrown overboard, the expression on the slaves face was not "Oh what a noble, if futile gesture". It was WTF to the bazillionth.
The way I interpret this is "You had nothing to say surrounded by people in chains on their way to being sold, but when one of us is to be killed in front of you THEN it is too much for you. Where were you the rest of voyage?"
In short, Henry was the good man who was silent in the face of evil until it was too late. Now who cast the curse I don't know. The slave's curse as he died? Some god or spirit? But the point of the curse was "You valued life but not freedom? Then you shall have life till you are sick of it, with no freedom to choose to end it." Anyway, that is what I got out of a single facial expression.
