Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If Laurel is going to develop mad ninja skills, could she go learn them in Nepal and come back next season?

Yes, please.

Ray Palmer is a bit too stalkery for me at the moment.

Yes, I am finding him super creepy and am expecting him to be a big bad for the season.

Teppy, I expected to see some Tommy squeeing from you.

Teppy, I expected to see some Tommy squeeing from you.

I was spoiled for his appearance, so it wasn't a surprise (hence no squeeing, but I sure was happy to see him -- although, god, that flashback hair!).

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

It was nice to see Tommy, but the whole storyline kinda felt like a throw-away? I doubt we'll revisit it. Tommy's flashback hair *was* terrible but so was Ollie's.

Mostly, I laughed at 1) Maseo pretending to be One Man HK Police all by his lonesome, and 2) Tommy going, DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO MY FATHER IS, like, pipe down, Draco Malfoy.

I am conflicted on Ray Palmer. He stepped way the hell over the line for me, but the Ray/Felicity scene by the elevator was lovely. Plus Brandon Routh is so tall and pretty and I am very shallow.

Yes and yes.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Every time I see Brandon Routh now the urge to shout "Todd the vegan!" is overwhelming.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

My guess is we'll get some pay off with Waller next week. She didn't really want Tommy dead (I imagine assassinating the son of a billionaire trained by Ra's al Ghul would bring her trouble she'd rather not expend resources to deal with) but she got Ollie to 1) do what she wanted for the first time even if it wasn't in the manner she requested 2) thinking like an operative.

I know, right? It amuses me that Scott Pilgrim spawned not one but 2 superheroes (Lucas Lee WOO!).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Brandon Routh was a superhero before Scott Pilgrim.

It seems stating the obvious to say I didn't know that, based on my last post.

t edit And I have no sense of time, because I would have said Scott Pilgrim came out only 3 years ago, which is obviously not right.

Back to Flash, I guess getting stabbed in the chest was a better fate for Simon Stagg than being turned into giant mutant monster with inappropriate thoughts toward his daughter.
