Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

'Shindig'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

(I'd love for a Lawful Evil Satan to show up and declare the contract null and void -- just so that he could fuck with Moloch. Especially if he were played by Viggo Mortenson. Ah well.)

Oh, THANKS. ::changes panties::

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was hoping the bloody signature was going to be needed for magic rather than contract. But whatever. Give me a thimbleful of coffee topped with a gaudy hillock of milk and I'm satisfied.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

(make sure you wipe the mustache off before going your over-caffeinated way)

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

For those who might be interested: in the last Doctor Who episode, the singer performing a lounge version of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" was a British performer who goes by the names of Foxes. (I don't know if she's well known in the US.) You can catch a full video of her rendition here: [link]

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The thing that bugs me is not that Evil isn't playing fair, it's that magic has an element of intent that's missing from the transaction. Even when there's trickery, there's usually bad intent (i.e. guy thinks he's hiring a hitman to kill his business partner, but actually signs away his soul).

This. In a setting where the Christian religion applies, the final fate of one's soul shouldn't be determined by someone swapping a deal with the Devil for the credit card slip one is about to sign at dinner. Getting Irving to sign away his soul in order to protect his daughter from threatened harm would be fine, but he shouldn't be able to give someone the power to take it without knowing he's doing so.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I simply love that the Doctor has a cigarette case full of jelly babies.

AND he asked the Mummy "Are you my mummy?" SO MANY CALLBACKS.

I wasn't really buying into Clara's "I can't do this anymore" thing so I guess I'm glad that plot's over. But as a one-off the Orient Express was pretty fun.

If Laurel is going to develop mad ninja skills, could she go learn them in Nepal and come back next season?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am interested in your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

However, Ray Palmer is still ADORBS. And I totally ship him and Felicity.

Ray Palmer is a bit too stalkery for me at the moment. Also, I keep expecting him to shrink.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

He was wee bit stalkerish though. I mean, buying out Tech Village?

The scene between Felicity and Oliver in the basement packed a wallop. And Oliver's quiet "I don't want to die down here" at the end. Oh man.

THEA! I knew it was her but I still gasped when she said "thanks, Dad."

Nope, still can't get much invested in Laurel's journey. I feel horrible for Quentin though. Poor fella.
