This here's a recipe for unpleasantness.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Sorry, talking about Forever.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was confused by Henry having a son! Then I thought maybe Mordor or whatever his name is purgatory dude was Henry's son, even though Henry calls him father. And then I was just confused that the purgatory guy was named "Abe".

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ok, I have just enough time to go watch the Forever premiere and lift some weights before I gotta go out.

Will report back with thinky thoughts.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I have only watched the first episode so far, but I do not understand how he was able to figure out what poison it was simply by taking it.

I think it was a combination of how fast it acted, what systems it affected, and handwavium.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I haven't watched Forever, but it sounds an awful lot like New Amsterdam, which was pretty good but barely lasted one season. Anyone else remember that one?

I remember it. I think the change to the hero being an ME who's doing research into what's happening to him is a better choice than being a cop (I think he was a cop in New Amsterdam).

I think he was a cop in New Amsterdam. I thought he was a cop in Forever, too; maybe I'll watch it since he's an ME. I dunno; I think I've been over "immortal person blends into modern society, holds high level position despite lack of proper documents" for a while now.

I loved New Amsterdam. This definitely has some similarities - it made me think of it too.

eta: He does have documents - though "proper" would be a loose term. They keep making references to his degree from Guam, I think it was.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I never watched New Amsterdam.

I know it was only one episode, but I really enjoyed it. The side characters were integral to the plot resolution, a couple of tropes are being subverted, and the central mystery of why he's still alive is a complete mystery. I probably would never have watched it if it did come on after Agents of Shield, but I don't mind hanging in there after Agents is done.

But I'd appreciate a bigger break between the two. I need a bathroom/snack break.
