Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

The guy who came out of the mirror is an avatar that Henry controls. This lets him be both an evil human and a kickass horseman.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Kindred was raised, fought Death and War, then vanished into the mist. Katrina convinced Ichabod that it would be better for everyone if she stayed a recurring character instead of a regular she stayed with Death until they can figure out a way to beat him. Jenny's still in jail.

ALSO: They keep talking about Henry/Jeremy as the second horseman but wasn't the guy who came out of the Moloch mirror (and was presented with a sword he set on fire) the second horseman/war?

Jeremy/Henry/War can control the empty suit of armor, is that what you mean? So Henry is still technically The Horseman Of War, but he fights with an avatar instead of his own physical body.

Or what Jessica said with more clarity.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Thank you! I REALLY need to make sure I can stay awake for the shows I really want to watch. And SH often packs something worth watching into those last 15 minutes.

Ichabod's bank rant was an excellent Ichabod-gets-angry-at-modernity scene. You'd think those would get schticky and annoying, but he just SELLS it, you know?

ALSO, Franklinstein's Monster? Abbie, you are awesome and I love you.

You know, it occurs to me that if they used the horseman's head to make the kindred/Franklinstein's monster (LOVE IT), shouldn't it be evil as well? since he (and, presumably, his head) was evil before they were separated.

Then it hit me - you know what they held the head to the body with? HANDWAVIUM!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Orlando Jones tweeted yesterday about cutting Irving some slack for not reading the contract - after all, he'd been pumped full of psychotropic drugs. The way I see, the Almighty probably has some standards when it comes to informed consent and selling one's soul. Sure Molloch & Co may not, and they may be able to make all sorts of mischief in the meantime, but in the end Irving's soul is intact. Of course maybe the trick is, that having tricked him into signing his soul away he may be persuaded to behave as though he has indeed signed away his immortal soul. Or maybe he will exercise his free will as much as he can for the side of good.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Franklinstein's Monster?

Ahahaha, I meant to comment on that. I can't believe I didn't watch this show last season. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ORLANDO JONES TWEETED BACK A REPLY TO A QUESTION I ASKED.

Ok, had to get that out first, because I totally geeked out in a big way. I KNEW i'd seen the new sheriff in something, and I and he replied that she'd been in "House of Cards." She's Sakina Jaffrey, and played Linda Vasquez -- I replied she was great in that role, and it was great to see more badass ladies on SH, and she RT and favorited my tweet.

I am such a nerd about all, this, I know, but I about wet my pants.

ION -- the episode! Was great! FLAMING SWORD! That cold open which was a dream -- whew. Katrina as a mole.

It was a good ep!

Yep! Hopefully she can be converted into an ally this time instead of playing another incredibly-good-at-her-job-but-fired-anyway-because-reasons role.
