Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

'Just Rewards (2)'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I sort of felt they were both being assholes.

Oh, yes. I was kind of hoping that Clara would kick them both out the TARDIS door.

One other thing that freaked me out for RL reasons was when the policeman approached the two boys who were hanging out by the gate. Just... instant massive anxiety and dread.

OK. I'll give you that, but the Doctor has fewer excuses. I really think this "soldier" thing is something that's brewing for the season.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I sort of felt they were both being assholes.

Yeah, but see... I think that really works for Clara.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

YES.

I think Twelve is supposed to come off as a charming asshole but he's just an asshole. He has moments where I like him but not many. I'm really enjoying Clara this season, though.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I liked last night's Who. Pink was awesome and refreshingly sensible. Homicidal alien? Hmmm. Maybe we should get the kids and parents away from it. Strange man putting odd tech around the campus? Someone should check that out. Yes!

Also, I finally saw the season premiere of Sleepy Hollow and found it delightful.

Sleepy Hollow is a hoot and a half, but the relationship between Ichabod and Abby is just the best thing.

I think my favorite scene in the show is Abby introducing Ichabod to baseball trash talking.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think my favorite scene in the show is Abby introducing Ichabod to baseball trash talking.

Aaaaaaaaa must find this and watch it NOW. So so good.

Oh dear. I can't wait for DVDs from the library. I may need to run to Target today for a Chromecast so I can get going with Hulu Plus.

Seriously Teppy, you're going to love it.

I really liked the S2 premiere. I have no worries about jumping in at S2 -- hell, I started watching Buffy in S4 and did just fine (other than the part where I really liked Riley and totally didn't get the whole Buffy/Angel thing). But I do want to go back and catch up on S1.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Sleepy Hollow: this is one show where "willing suspension of disbelief" is necessary (OK, one of MANY ... many I like).

Like earlier - I was wondering where the Horseman had his seekrit Hessian Hideout (and why an upper-class (rich if not actually aristocratic) Anglo-American was fighting with Hessian mercenaries).
