I wondered about the crossbow - it's not as if Ichabod comes from a time before the invention of guns, or eschews modern technology when useful. Give the guy a shotgun or an Uzi!

I can see me picking this up as a regular show. Gotham, NSM. (Although Jada Pinkett Smith was fabulous, and I like the Pertwee iteration of Alfred, because he seems like someone who was actually Special Forces back in the day and can kill a man with his feather duster. [Alfred's bad-ass-ed-ness is often overlooked in the various incarnations of TV/film Batman.])

Totally new. We watched Gotham, and then when Sleepy Hollow started, I said, "Well, we never did get the DVDs, but everyone says it's really good, so let's give it a shot." And then there were crossbows with laser sights, and much snark.
