Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Very good point -t. That one hadn't occurred to me!

Man, this dialog was filled with many more nooks and crannies' than I'd have given Moffat credit for!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hey, bonny, I came up with an Australian TV rec for you. If you haven't seen it, chase down The Slap. It's an eight-part miniseries, quite good.

bt, thanks for thinking of me. I've seen The Slap. It was truly compelling. Made me think a lot about my couple's counseling clients. So many layers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I need a rewatch because I couldn't understand a lot of what Capaldi was saying. I just suck at understanding accents.

Huh. I couldn't even hear him as Scottish for some reason. Tennant in Broadchurch was far more impenetrable to me. But I've been watching Capaldi since Local Hero and Lair of the White Worm so I may just be used to his voice, though it has gruffed up a bit since those days.

Hard to believe he's the same actor that was in Lair of the White Worm!

And he directed Richard E. Grant in the Oscar winning short Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life!

Never seen him in his signature role on that political show though.

Hard to believe he's the same actor that was in Lair of the White Worm!

Yet Hugh Grant looks almost exactly the same!
