'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Right? So disturbing. Sister kisser. Well played, show.

Also disturbing - Ethan saying Kira is the prize.

When I said

Donnie doesn't exactly gave a Mr. Wolf to call in, though. Poor guy.

I should have known that he does have an Alison.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Unless Alison sends in the clones (sorry - couldn't resist), that's not going to end well. At all.

eta Well or Felix.

So Rachel doesn't actually know he's dead. When she started telling people he'd had a heart attack I figured Dyad had found the body. I guess that was just what she was going to say to let him disappear.

The more I think about it the more interesting it gets. Beth knew of another clone she didn't tell Alison or Cosima about. Sadly I think the whole message thing concerning Paul is a "tell not show" on the part of the writers.

On a completely different note, why do I suspect there is going to be a monster influx of fanfic concerning Tony and whichever clone of choice?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Well, that was an interesting direction. Bless the writer's for having Fi do pronoun exposition. (I have issues with Tony's eyebrows, though they're not any more groomed than Fi's. But I've been noticing the clones' eyebrows lately anyway.)

We got to the last scene and I said, "Kira, you're gonna be creepy, aren't you? Don't be creepy." And then she was creepy.

And Rachel's reaction to the "Sarah's the one who turned out wrong" conversation...got some bottled-up feelings, there, have we?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Have we ever heard about Tony at all before this point? I was so confused about him. I think I agree with a lot of the criticisms in the AVC review.

Don't kill off Cosima nooooooo.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

We have not. I find it interesting that he was raised by his birth parents, if not his genetic parents, and, yeah, I really hope he ends up being fleshed out more.

I generally agree with that review, as well.

I don't.

It's 2 to 1, you're outvoted, we're throwing you in the Brig.

...Am I in the right thread?

Because books.

I more or less agree with that review, too. I don't think Tony was as convincing, or as fully formed, as the other clones, and the fact that no one was questioning Helena's whereabouts seemed really sloppy.

On the other hand, I liked the intercut of Rachel's discussion with Ethan and her trashing her desk, but I think that was because I read it as Rachel being furious that her creators had so clearly decided her biological limitations, and taken away her opportunity to choose.

For the first time, I felt like there was a little bit too much going on for me to follow it properly.
