A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
IGN just reminded me that Oliver said "no one dies tonight," earlier in the episode.
Oh, right. Ouch.
I got all focused on Diggle telling Felicity that there's no force in the universe that could make her a bad person and hoping that isn't setting us up...
less pissy and snarky than the official ones
I don't even know why Esther (is it Esther?) does the recaps, because she doesn't even seem to like the show.
If anyone's interested I can post a link to them when this week's goes up.
Yes, please.
I do appreciate a well written one by someone into the show ten times more every time I sit down and try.
Cindy's LOST recaps on TWOP were things of beauty.

I can't see how making Felicity bad would be anything but jumping the sharknado. I *can* see a scenario where she crosses her own moral "Do Not Cross" line for the greater good of Team Arrow, and I'm fine with that.
Well, Slade more or less announced that Sara is next...
Even, if he did mean Sara, I'm hoping he doesn't succeed in killing anyone else.
With 3 more episodes to go, I don't think the show is going to dial itself down until the finale. I'm expecting more death. Or a literal sharknado.

Now I'm scared that Felicity is going to be injected with Mirakuru.

Yeah, I know. I mostly don't want Sara to die because I'm afraid that will mean Laurel will take her place as the Black Canary, and I really can't stand Laurel.

Right there with you. I have no use for her. I'd be happy if SHE turned to the dark side.
There's no way that Laurel has the abs for the job.
Holy shit. Times about a billion.
Man, if they get rid of the parkour chick--finally an actress overqualified for that part of her job.
Although I've seen the actress play evil (hello, Ruby 1.0!) I can't even imagine what evil Laurel would look like. Then again, I can't imagine happy Laurel either. I don't know why this role is killing her, but even if the writing's sub par, the actress is uber flat.
After Slade dropped by and told her who the Arrow was, I imagined the superhero that really should have had the name Spoiler. Someone who just goes up to people and tells them secrets, up to and including who killed who on the last episode of whatever.
Or that their ex spent a year killing local bad guys. Whichever.
Here's the alt-recap: [link]

Ahahaha! "Oliver Queen is...THE ARROW! Rosebud was...HIS SLED! Darth Vader is Luke's FATHER! Soylent Green is PEOPLE!"
The only way I could buy Laurel as Black Canary would be if next season begins with, "After five years on a hellish island, Laurel Lance...."
I think part of the problem with the pacing of this episode was the "Ollie got a girl pregnant" flashbacks. The flashbacks usually relate to the current action, but those were inert lumps in the middle of lots of action. They didn't really illustrate that a mother will do anything for her child. They showed Moira's usual parenting skills of throwing money at the problem, lying and not making her children take responsibility.
My wild guess is that the baby's mother is Iris West or her sister.
