You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It seems like Leverage, but with psychology. I'm mainly going to watch because I loved what Killen did with Awake and because I'll know many of the actors since it shot in Chicago.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, the Leveraginess is what's appealing. And I did like Awake, mostly. Hm.

Well, it's not conflicting with anything tonight, I can record this one and I hope I get around to watching it before too long.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I feel like I should watch Mind Games, as a friend of a friend (and someone whom I've also met at assorted Browncoat functions) is one of the writers, but I barely have enough time for what little TV I already do watch.

Because books.

I met the guy who wrote the book that Intelligence is based on tonight! Great guy, although his book is actually YA (the protagonist is 16) and when he sold the rights, a LOT of stuff was changed. (Josh Holloway is in his 40s, right?)

I haven't seen it -- has anyone else?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's pretty standard network fare. But Josh Holloway.

(And it does sound like they changed a lot, because he's like ex-special forces super soldier.)

Because books.

I think the book is about how he got that way, from the blurb I just read on Amazon. It's called Phoenix Island, by John Dixon, who is a super nice guy. I'd like to read it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I started laughing at the "I am blind!" reveal because OF COURSE.

INORITE! I mean, how long have you been stalking this chick and you don't notice she's blind?

I'm looking forward to the 1st episode of Mind Games tonight.

I am irrationally annoyed that it only comes on once. I forgot about it until now. I may not bother to get into it since it's up against Person of Interest and Justified (although I can watch Justified later), but I find that when I have these multiple time show, I get behind very quickly.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I watched Mindgames (while recording Person of Interest and Chicago Fire - I sincerely hope somthing gets adjusted out of there soon). I enjoyed it more than I expected to - Steve Zahn's very manic, but as the character's literally bipolar it's less annoying than it might have been. And after making you think you know pretty much what's going on for almost the whole episode, threw in a bit of twistiness in the last 5 minutes. I'll keep watching.

eta Christian Slater has managed to tone his Nicholson back to almost not there, so also that's another worry addressed.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ET,

I despised the last 5 minutes. Like a whole lot. I am not sure why i have such a negative reaction to it, but it makes me not want to see any more eps of the show. I was moderately enjoying it up until then. But the end took all of the wind out of my sails.
