A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm just saying, when it comes to storytelling in a limited-time format, like an episode of a TV show, expediency is going to play a role. And I still argue that the fact of the baby trumps how the baby came into the world, especially if it would mean using script time to explain a birthing stool, for instance.
They could do it like that product placement in Alias! "Quick! Get in the Ford F150on the birthing stool!"
Yes, I was thinking about this STILL in the car on the way home. In my defense, I've had more ridiculously nit-picking and obsessive thoughts.
I'm not sure why I allow myself to wince and twitch.
I mean, I'm watching a show where Katrina's a Quaker Witch who shops at Hot Topic, and Ichabod is a man of elevated station sporting some seriously taboo facial hair. BUT STILL! I WINCE AND TWITCH! Were they not so snarky and fun, it would be the exact sort of thing I couldn't watch for wanting to throw my remote through the screen.
Oh, and the bling her ex gave her? And the one he WANTED to give her? SO TOTALLY NOT IN THE PERIOD STYLE, OMG.
Apparently Plei and I were yelling at the same parts. (Not only was it not period style, but I don't think it was even period possible.)
Ichabod is a man of elevated station sporting some seriously taboo facial hair.
It's not like it wouldn't be easy to get him a straight razor. There really should have been a scene when he asked for hair powder.
I'd think that having a baby is pretty self-evident. It could have been shot in a more period fashion without explaining anything. The key thing was that Katrina had Ichabod's baby.

And neither was exactly Quaker plain dress, either. I'm working on the theory that Moloch is providing Katerina's purgatorial wardrobe. It seems as logical a hand wave as anything.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Oh god, coffee is EVERYWHERE.
The key thing was that Katrina had Ichabod's baby.
Well, she had somebody's baby. Perhaps there will be a DNA paternity test callback.
What? Where am I?
I seem to have fallen into a vortex.
wrong thread...moving on
bonny, I think you wanted to post that in Bitches.
t edit
You were too fast for me!
Sleepy Hollow - I've stopped expecting accuracy for, well, just about everything. Katrina's supposed to be a Quaker ... not only is she not using Plainspeech, even with Ichabod, but her clothes (and hair, jewelry (JEWELRY? period or not, I don't think she'd wear any aside from a wedding ring). So when they do go for accuracy, it's a nice surprise.
the women would definitely not have such shiny, shiny hair
You'd be surprised what you can do with bear grease ....
Can they call it "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"? Starring a Terminator named Cameron and Sarah Connor and Derek Reese?
And apparently MTV is developing a Shannara series.
As I snarked on Facebook, they can probably make it for pretty cheap because they'll only need one script to recast and shoot over and over and over again.
