I found the fondant Doctor from the cake in the fridge this morning, lying in a box with bubble wrap.
Well, Jessica, if I were you and if I had a stationery shop near my work, fondant Doctor would have gold-paper/confetti on his hands and face by now.
I've had the original 60's Who theme in my head since Saturday. I think I need to find the hard drive where I stored all my classic Who eps and start watching again from the beginning.
I hope nobody else ran into the problem of youngsters seeing Tom Baker and whispering to each other "Who is that? Should I know who that is?" I heard his voice and did a squee and people looked at me funny. Philistines.
I am the youngsters. Sorry about that.
(But I guessed him right. Because of his eyes).
But that makes you one of the cool youngsters. Not one I shake my cane at.
Great. I'm always happy when people don't shake their things in my general direction. It can be very distracting.
I recognized him, but I'm not sure I would have if I hadn't been watching a bunch of the specials where he was interviewed. But I think there were enough context clues that I would have at least figured out that he was a previous Doctor, even if I didn't know which one.
Lots of not young people started watching Who with Eccleston. Catching up is an intimidating prospect. I'm not surprised by people who haven't. It's also a different mindset. I'm not surprised by people who started and stopped before the faces sank in.
I recognized him more by his voice than his face. I've never seen a recent photo of him.
I recognized him from his eyes, I think.
