Oh, wow. This place looks great. Oh, I feel like a witch in a magic shop.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I had not even thought of Wikipedia as a tv show Cliff Notes.

Because books.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Okay, that's helpful. Thanks!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Like this, maybe? Eccleston could have been in a lot of places here, but not replacing John Hurt, Frank. That regeneration we saw when he stepped into his TARDIS leads directly to "Rose."

I didn't recall that he was regenerating at the beginning of that episode, I thought you meant that they were setting this up as the episode just prior to it by having him regenerate.

Not that I don't think it's neutral--what I do think it is is surprised. Because I was. I'm not the first to mention that here this month.

You're right. I should have studied up rather than just chimed after I watched the thing. Scolding me like a child for not doing my homework was obviously your best option.

It would have been nice to have Eccleston, but since its not a production he'd like to work on I'll just have to deal. But not by watching that John Lennon biopic... it was dreadful and he was the only good thing about it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Trudy, I was surprised you weren't reading four posts before you chimed in. That's all. It's really not a big deal.

I was in the process of editing to clarify that I'd misunderstood your comment four posts earlier when you posted. I'm glad it wasn't a big deal to you.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

At the very end of Day of the Doctor, before it goes to the shot of all 12 of them, is the screen supposed to be white for a few seconds? Because we got Matt Smith narrating about dreams, opening the door, seeing the backs of the other Doctors, then the screen went white. We still had sound, but no image.

I think so? I can't go back and look right now, but that sounds about right.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Doctor Who confuses me. I'm interested in it just enough to see just enough to know about half of what's going on. I want Doctor Who Cliff's Notes.

All I know about Doctor Who is what I have absorbed from here and FB. Enough to sound knowledgeable for about 30 seconds of conversation with someone who actually watches it...and then I got nothing.

And Captain Jack Harkness. Because Barrowman.
