It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I think the actor who played William Hartnell was very good.

David Bradley. You probably know him as Fitch in the Harry Potter films. He was also in "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship".

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The show does have an established history of eerily good William Hartnell impersonators. I recall a story about Carole Ann Ford being quite taken aback by Richard Hurndall during the filming of The Five Doctors.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought Lost Girl wasn't back until January?

Not back on in the US. Otherwise I wouldn't have whitefonted the details.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

David Bradley was good, but we gave up about a third of the way through -- It was boring.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was enjoyable but pretty straightforward, yeah.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ah, that makes sense, ita. I will resist the white font.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

John Hurt is fine, but I would have enjoyed it a lot more with Eccleston.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That was fun.

But I had the impression the 11th Doctor would regenerate into the 12th in this episode.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Nope, that happen at Xmas. Though we did get to see the 12th/13th/WhoTheFuckKnowsAnymore Doctor's forehead!

Heh. I just realized that. For some reason I thought we were only getting one Who episode this Fall/Winter.
