Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

'Destiny'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Amanda Waller is a stone badass. She doesn't need to be a skinny sexpot.

This needs to be repeated.

Also, I was expecting Lawton to be working for Waller by the end of the episode.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Also, I was expecting Lawton to be working for Waller by the end of the episode.

Eventually, EVERYONE will be working for Waller. This is my headcanon.

Despite my raaaaaage over her makeover, I did bounce up and down and possibly shout "Oh HELL yeah!" when I realized she was The Wall. And then got ragey over the sexyfication.

I really loved how casually she mentioned that she knew that Ollie was vigilante-ing it up alongside Digg. BAD.ASS.

Justice League cartoons are on TV Saturday mornings, and so I make Tim watch them, and when he realized that sexy Amanda Waller was, well, Amanda Waller, he said, "She's a lot more badass in the cartoon."

Yes. Yes, she is. That cartoon got SO MUCH RIGHT. ::cough::ClancyBrown::cough::

Finally, most of my knowledge of H.I.V.E. comes from the old Teen Titans cartoons, so the connection is actually just making me giggle.

Oh! Also, theory: in flashback!timeline, they go back to the island ("Kate, we have to go baaaaaaack!") and find the Captain America super-soldier serum and give it to Slade to heal him, which super-powers him up like in the comics. Even though he's Australian.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Night of the Doctor, a prequel to The Day of the Doctor

It's not a spoiler to reveal who's in a prequel, right?

I would say, in this instance, very much yes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Well, that was super exciting.

Compassionately intolerant

Nifty!

It was much better produced than I expected.

Also, nice to see that particular Doctor exhibit more gravity than was present in previous appearances.

Nice one, writers and producers.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hah. I came here to post it, too.

Several hours late, Daniel.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Apparently, a whole bunch of audio dramas just became canon.
