Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Because books.

It does seem weird that this "small town" has 144,000 people. That's a small city, isn't it?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

For comparison, Actual Sleepy Hollow has a population of just under 10k.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love the vibe that's growing between Abbie and Ichabod. I wouldn't say no to shipping some Jennich, and Abbie feeling besieged from both sides.

I loved everything about the baseball--Abbie's explanation about what it means to her, Ichabod getting into ump abuse, even though his timing needs work, but my favourite was her delivery of "Our pride, our link to the past. Created by the forefathers, handed down generation after generation..." So relaxed and sincere. Also the beats of when they looked at each other were great, and speak to great things for this partnership. She will be both Chief Bridesmaid and Best Woman.

Because books.

The baseball scene was awesome. As baseball always is.

For comparison, Actual Sleepy Hollow has a population of just under 10k.

Billings MT, has a population of about 166,000, and while I know there's a lot more room to spread out there, that's the point -- New York and New Jersey are really densely populated, but I don't think their idea of Sleepy Hollow, given where it is, would actually fit.

But since I apply handwavium everywhere else, why not here, too, right?

Awesome enough to awe someone who doesn't get baseball's point(s).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Er, how much in the way of underground tunnels could remain secret yet intact beneath a bustling "small town" of 144,000 for 23 decades?

A surprising amount...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oooh. Cause that seemed like such a random thing to have changed.

I never would have caught it if you guys hadn't highlighted the number. 144,000 doesn't seem that big if you're used to 3 million.
