A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I feel sure Jilli's reaction is far more entertaining from the show, even just on the screen here.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh yes, unless I misunderstood his speech to Renfield, he said that 400 years ago the Order used to murder and pillage and rape and burn people alive "as they screamed for a God that never came.

And he's against this? Without the context I'd have assumed that was fond reminiscing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd have more respect for the show if it had depicted Vlad's objections in terms of the Order stepping on his toes as the rightful village burner in Wallachia.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Watching ep 2 of "Sleepy Hollow" and I am dying laughing at Crane freaking out in the shower and figuring out the utility of the hair dryer. Funny shit.

It probably would be something to never have experienced a shower before and get in one.

I suppose, but surely by the late 18th century someone somewhere had washed by dumping a hanging bucket, which is conceptually similar to showers (and for that matter didn't the Romans have indoor plumbing?). I'd think unprecedented things like television and phones would be the real mind-blowers.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, but Crane seemed like he hadn't experienced any of it.

I'm glad they're having fun with the character discovering present-day conveniences we take for granted. Like with using a gun for one shot, because he's never encountered a revolver before, and thinks he has to reload. That's more sensawunder for me than a headless horseman.

Because books.

What's funniest to me is that before either aired I assumed Sleepy Hollow would be too ridiculous to watch, and Dracula would be, you know, good.

It's also funny (to me anyway) that a show with incest, bestiality, torture, blood rituals, and issues of dubious zombie consent is the one that feels so familiar. American Horror Story, you haven't let me down yet.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Grimm was fun. Now that I've read y'all's comments, I might want a cocktail for Dracula...I'll try it with just Diet Coke, see how that goes.
