Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I'm sure from a historical perspective, pretty much everything in Reign is wrong, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode. I wound up watching it last night because I was already on the CW after having watched TVD which I just can't quit even though now it's just cannibalizing itself and finding new ways to be terrible. Anyway, TVD went off, Reign came on and it was ridiculous good fun. I'll watch again next week.

Because books.

I want to like it! I love this era! But they're taking *amazing* liberties with not only historical fact and fashion, but customs and courtesies. I don't mind a little bit of hand-waving, but I was expecting something more like The Tudors.

I'll probably watch at least one more time -- I really do like Mary.

I didn't even watch Dawson's Creek or Felicity but those were the show names bouncing around as I watched the episode.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In the ballroom scene, I thought, "Wow. Vera Wang has been in business for a looooong time."

I don't watch the show, but this amused me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have to say, now that Revolution is crack-ass crazy, it's a lot more enjoyable.

now that Revolution is crack-ass crazy

Oh? How so?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sleepy Hollow writers on Twitter said they have intern researchers and a historical consultant. I said nothing.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

On a scale of Sleepy Hollow crazy to American Horror Story CRAY-ZEE, how crazy?

Not Dana, but I would say that the current Revolution falls right about in the middle of that scale of cray-cray, to my way of thinking.

I have two words: midichlorians and Illuminati .

I will say no more.

I'm sure others will see the recent turn of events differently, but that's how the current story lines are striking me.

(I know we don't need to whitefont a seen episode, but I don't want to influence anyone else's interpretive metaphors.)
