Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So how soon can Craig Ferguson get Capaldi on the show so they can go all ridiculous and giddy about his casting? I want this yesterday.

I'm sure you know about this, Plei, but I did not [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was the Teen Wolf two weeks back sponsored by Reese's like this week was? Either way, I still think it's funny.

They are epically bad at the "I'm not left-handed either!" flourish. "My boss told me this was both a poison and a cure. Therefore it can be used to reveal!" (paraphrase) -- does that make actual sense to anyone?

Bets on losing one or more parents?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I hope we don't lose either of them, both those parent/child relationships are wonderful and really add something to the show. That said, Melissa had a big damn hero moment saving her son, and the actress has a recurring role on a much more prestigious series that still shoots in Atlanta...

That was like Joyce with the ax! And Joyce didn't die for *seasons*.

Teen Wolf was *almost* subtle with the car ads. The roll up from the front grill to Isaac's face was a wee bit too slow. I get it! Logo! For...Toyota? I don't recall. But didn't it handle perfectly for combating lycanthropes? Can I have one for my sweet sixteen?

Hey, maybe they'll kill poppa Argent instead and surprise us all. If he does more of that handgun doublefisting, I might just expire! *But* couldn't Gramps qualify for the sacrifice? I'd just hand him over. I mean, does the spell say he has to be *good* at the job? I don't think the bitchy teacher was. Who knew too much...have we found out the details on that, or am I constructing memories out of my bias?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm sure you know about this, Plei, but I did not [link]

I did. He's been on CF's show before, which was hilarious, as the first part was mostly them talking about the time they did acid together.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And he's wearing a bowtie! Because bowties are cool! Is Ferguson the one in the string tie? Not sure about the coolness factor there.

HOW DID I FORGET I WANTED AYOADE TO BE THE DOCTOR?

Plei, surely you were on call for that? I can't be expected to keep track of these things...

Compassionately intolerant

edit: Lordy, I did it again. Paterson Joseph was already mentioned up thread. Man, mind like a sieve these days. Pain does that to me. Anyway, I stand by my lament. He would have been perfect. ====

I honestly haven't been super invested in "Who will it be?"

I figure I'll do the best with whatever I get, but Neil Gaiman's quote saying that Paterson Joseph turned down the role actually made me sad.

I'd have _loved_ to see him dropping in on unsuspecting worlds.

His turn in Jekyl may be my favorite of his roles, but I've pretty much loved everything he's done.

le n, this is the article I found that says Gaiman named Joseph.
