Whoa! I... I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan. Now I'm having a wiggins.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm sure you know about this, Plei, but I did not [link]

I did. He's been on CF's show before, which was hilarious, as the first part was mostly them talking about the time they did acid together.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And he's wearing a bowtie! Because bowties are cool! Is Ferguson the one in the string tie? Not sure about the coolness factor there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

HOW DID I FORGET I WANTED AYOADE TO BE THE DOCTOR?

Plei, surely you were on call for that? I can't be expected to keep track of these things...

Compassionately intolerant

edit: Lordy, I did it again. Paterson Joseph was already mentioned up thread. Man, mind like a sieve these days. Pain does that to me. Anyway, I stand by my lament. He would have been perfect. ====

I honestly haven't been super invested in "Who will it be?"

I figure I'll do the best with whatever I get, but Neil Gaiman's quote saying that Paterson Joseph turned down the role actually made me sad.

I'd have _loved_ to see him dropping in on unsuspecting worlds.

His turn in Jekyl may be my favorite of his roles, but I've pretty much loved everything he's done.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Compassionately intolerant

le n, this is the article I found that says Gaiman named Joseph.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

so he didn't revel the name, someone pieced a couple of communications from him together and are making an educated guess.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Have finally started watching Orphan Black and yeah, it's fucking awesome. I'm up to episode 4 and can't wait to get back on it when I get home.

It's kinda wacky how it ended up airing on BBC America when it has little to do with either British or American input. It's an obviously Canadian production created by a Canadian directing/producing duo, starring a cast almost entirely made of Canadian actors, and filmed in Toronto -- they haven't explicitly mentioned it yet but Alison lives in Scarborough, which is a large suburb of Toronto. I was also chuffed to see one of the creators is John Fawcett, who made one of the best werewolf movies ever, i.e. Ginger Snaps.

Tatiana Maslany, holy shit.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Important: what are your thoughts on Allison?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Scarborough, which is a large suburb of Toronto

Thank You! The only Scarborough I was familiar with is New York, and I kept wondering why they were trying to act as if it was New York, when everything else is so very Canadian. I feel better now.

And yes, Tatiana Maslany is amazing.
