'Safe'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Heh. Sadly, "Battlefield" and "Master Plan" do a pretty good job of derailing the momentum that the rest of Season 2 built up for me. And I'm sure now that Colton has left that WTF 15-minute-long Terminator ripoff shot of him getting up naked in front of the jeep headlights is going to bug me as an even more gratuitous waste of screentime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The final episode works for me up until true love saves the monster.

It's a good time mocking Derek, though! I'd forgotten. I hope he's still stupid in S3.

I spend most of my time mocking Gerard. My God, what happened to Michael Hogan's acting between BSG and Teen Wolf?

Teen Wolf is way better than it needs to be, but OMG speechifying (huh, that's not tripping spellcheck...but spellcheck does...). When they talk about the trefoil, for instance, or mostly any time Derek has two sentences in a row....some people balance the curtain chewing, like Ma Argent, but Argent Grand Pere might as well be dancing with a cardboard box on his head singing "I'm pulling focus! I'm pulling focus!"

My God, what happened to Michael Hogan's acting between BSG and Teen Wolf?

The Teen Wolf scenery had more fiber than BSG's all-metal sets, so he needed to eat lots and lots of it for regularity?

Huh, I thought Daniel Sharman was going to be added to the credits as a regular.

ETA: Was I the only one who was pretty underwhelmed by that? The classroom scene with the birds was about the only one that I'd rank as good...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Just watched the first episode of Orphan Black ! This is going to be fun.

I wonder if this is the season where they break under their self-awareness and success? A bit too meta (that's his real tat, right?), a bit too sound and fury signifying nothing clearly explained, and oh, ANVILS and magical negroes with expiration dates.

Stiles is still fun, Scott is still sweet, and Derek may still be stupid. Woot!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm not sure Mrs. S has Kiera. The scene where Sarah packs a bag for Kiera and tells her to keep it a secret and that she may have to run for it, and then the shot of the open window at the end make me think that Kiera might have run off on her own.

Art Crawl!!!

Ooh, Laga - and that would explain why the place was torn apart too.
