The Nerdist recap said that the Doctor can't go to Trenzalore because it's where he died. Isn't it because it's his tomb that he not supposed to go there?

Did he also travel forward in time to after his death? Or does that time travel cicatrix free from such petty constriction.

OK, yeah, so I'm a bit bothered that Sarah's specialness comes down to her ability to breed compared to the other clones. But Matt Frewer makes a convincingly creepy Big Bad, and even the boring boyfriend is getting increasingly interesting.

And Alison is a RIOT. It definitely looks like they're going to keep playing her storyline for laughs, which at least lightens the drama a bit.

The Doctor's travelled forward 100 trillion years, to when most of the stars are going out.

Yeah I first noticed that a few eps back I wondered if she might be the original, but then decided that the original would be older. I remember that when Dolly first became famous that there were popular explanations that clones tended to get organ damage and such compared to the originals.

Does anyone think that is the last time we're going to see River Song? It certainly felt like a good-bye to the character to me.

I liked the ep and am looking forward to seeing how John Hurt fits in all this mess. I haven't really been all that taken with the second half of the season. I like Clara, but the stories, something... I don't know. Anyway, now I'm even more excited fr the 50th Anniv episode. Sad to realize its not unti November, though.

Also excited for the non-Who promo with Tennant and Darville in the murder show. But that's a different thread. I imagine. Didn't see space ships or capes.

I mainlined Orphan Black over the last couple of weeks. So good. How they keep the funny going with Alison and it still fits in with the rest of the show is fantastic.

I really admire how Alison being the comic relief doesn't undercut how sad her situation is.

I'm of two minds about Sarah's specialness being tied to her ability to have biological children - one the one hand, ugh, come on sci-fi get another goddamn trope, but on the other hand, producing cloned animals with the ability to breed is an actual science problem in the real world, so it makes sense that it would come up with humans. What we don't know yet is if Sarah is a surprise success story, or if all the clones were supposed to be sterile, and she's not because some guy in the lab went rogue and flipped on some genes he wasn't supposed to. (And then faked her death to get her out of the lab?) Probably the latter.

I figure we've got about five minutes before Kasima (sp?) thinks it would be more fun to be running this experiment than being a part of it.

I hope we bring Art into the inner circle soon, too. I'm not a fan of police investigations where you have someone to question right there but say "No, let's hold off on that" because the writers don't want that conversation to happen until the next ep.

Further - there was some discussion that they knew she wasn't Beth after samples were taken. How?
