You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm pretty sure the CW has more genre shows than SyFy now: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oliver told Tommy he didn't kill him

Wasn't Ollie doing a cheap rug impersonation at the time? I thought he'd run in to save Laurel and wasn't sure she wasn't dead yet. Or did he hear her talking as he rode around to the back door?

I swear to god, I wanted Ollie to kiss dead Tommy. Not in a sexy way (well, dead). But saying he loved him was big and appropriate--I don't really care for the lead's acting, but he sold that grief pretty effectively and was fair exploding with it.

Oh hell yes. It's what Tommy wanted to hear.

Seriously. I don't think he's a *bad* actor, per se, but he's not really my cup of tea. But he really nailed that last scene.

I was in kind of an untouchable zone by the time I watched Arrow, because SPN had already spilt my guts on the floor, but I was really impressed with the work they did.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know that Oliver was lying to Tommy, but I was wondering if the line was also a hint to fans of the show that we haven't seen the last of Merlyn.

I only felt that the message there was how unflinching Oliver was to make Tommy comfortable. No one will have collected the body in the brouhaha, it disappears, and bad guys return all the time. But I feel that's independent of that line, as opposed to foreshadowed. Who knows?

I realise as I typed that--of course Colin knows. He spent last week with the square jawed beautiful motherfucker.

Ooo, the Sci-Fi Channel is running a marathon of the even-numbered Trek films (e.g., the good ones) tonight!
