Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I actually thought Felicity was going to die while she was talking to Ollie--she sure made no attempt to save herself or tell the truth while shit was blowing up next to her.
It's really not fair that three people get impaled and Ollie is just as perky as ever. Damn, man.
As gamechangers go, you could apply the term accurately to this.
I'm not that upset about Tommy dying. I really thought he was the most boring character in the series, imho. Is Daddy Merlyn dead, or was there a chance he could survive his wounds and make a getaway?

Aw, man. I loved Tommy. Plus -- SO PRETTY.

I was assuming he is dead like a dead thing.

I guess he's pretty, but there is just so much pretty on this show, that he never really pinged me as such.
I was assuming he is dead like a dead thing.
I was too, but then Oliver told Tommy he didn't kill him, and I was wondering if that was a hint to the audience that he isn't really dead. Maybe he had another back up plan for his own survival?
I'm pretty sure the CW has more genre shows than SyFy now: [link]
Oliver told Tommy he didn't kill him
Wasn't Ollie doing a cheap rug impersonation at the time? I thought he'd run in to save Laurel and wasn't sure she wasn't dead yet. Or did he hear her talking as he rode around to the back door?
I swear to god, I wanted Ollie to kiss dead Tommy. Not in a sexy way (well, dead). But saying he loved him was big and appropriate--I don't really care for the lead's acting, but he sold that grief pretty effectively and was fair exploding with it.

Oh hell yes. It's what Tommy wanted to hear.

Seriously. I don't think he's a *bad* actor, per se, but he's not really my cup of tea. But he really nailed that last scene.
I was in kind of an untouchable zone by the time I watched Arrow, because SPN had already spilt my guts on the floor, but I was really impressed with the work they did.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know that Oliver was lying to Tommy, but I was wondering if the line was also a hint to fans of the show that we haven't seen the last of Merlyn.
I only felt that the message there was how unflinching Oliver was to make Tommy comfortable. No one will have collected the body in the brouhaha, it disappears, and bad guys return all the time. But I feel that's independent of that line, as opposed to foreshadowed. Who knows?
I realise as I typed that--of course Colin knows. He spent last week with the square jawed beautiful motherfucker.
