Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Arrow is very tense. I need a drink.

(Also: Ferris Air. Hee!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's so weird that Diggles is the mayor on Blue Blood. Why the fuck can't he clean up anywhere?

I know, RIGHT.

Highest HSQ of the season.

Did Daddy Merlyn actually say "Oh, no" at the end?

He did.

I couldn't figure that out. Given what he's done up until now, why would this particular development bother him?

Perhaps he does actually still possess some shred of conscience? And/or just feels bad that he almost killed his son's buddy/Moira's son?

Also, I am NOT ON BOARD with Ollie and Laurel.

And I remain, as always, a HUGE Felicity fangirl.

I concur...Tewltly.

The "I see what you did there" moment with Tommy made me groan out loud.

Cliche much, Show?

But, Felicity was awesome. It's too bad she did not see the tracking of her trojan horse. She was not paying attention!

DRAPES EXIST FOR A REASON, LAUREL.

I don't want Tommy to go bad, except he's kind of awesome no matter what.

I feel like Daddy Merlyn can't survive the season finale. He's a bad guy, and he knows the vigilante's identity now. I can't think of a way that works on an ongoing basis, narratively. Unless Ollie is totally outed in the finale. (Which I kind of think will happen, because it just seems like it's set up for A LOT of people to discover his identity: Thea and Roy, Moira, Cop Daddy, and Laurel. By the end of the episode, only Walter won't know Ollie is the vigilante. [Also: WALTER DON'T GO!])
