How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Trudy, I didn't see that twist coming either. I love this show.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Unrelatedly: watching Face Off has definitely affected how I see the aliens on DS9.

Hahah, this is true for me too with, like, everything.

I finally caught up with Orphan Black and I'm really liking it. It just keeps getting more and more complicated. Vic finds Alison! Paul is a plant! And you know the French gal is another one.

I do like that not one of the major characters, as someone on my flist pointed out, is a straight white guy. Well, except for Paul, who wasn't major until this episode. And is Vic major again? Possibly. But everyone else isn't.

I'm super impressed by the lead actress, too. She's really pulling it off.

As for Defiance, I finished watching the pilot. I admit that the only things that surprised me were: Graham Greene survived the pilot; the brothel-running sister survived the pilot; and Fionnula Flanagan is The Big Bad.

The rest of it was pretty broad, with boring 2D characterizations and some pretty shaky world-building. Why would anyone terraform Earth so that St. Louis is surrounded by huge cliffs? What's the point of it?

And this guy Nolan is such a low-rent Han Solo, it's very annoying. Why do we always gotta have the same character types?

Consuela, the terraforming isn't directed. It's happening randomly when blown-up spaceships carrying terraforming equipment fall out of orbit, and it's what has rendered much of the planet dangerous or uninhabitable.

Fascinating, Matt. What's the source of that, is that from the game?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Why do we always gotta have the same character types?

Come on, it's not like they named him Jack!

I am pretty sure the Macauley house used to be the Adama house back on Caprica. There is a lot of recycling going on in this show. (The main street is too dressed up to be the old Eureka set, but it's clearly got the same floorplan.)

Still, I'm enjoying it. It's a derivative mish-mash, but the sources they're borrowing from are all ones I like, so it's nice seeing all those tropes up on screen again.

DVR alert: Grimm has moved to Tuesdays and is on tonight.

Did anyone catch Warehouse 13 last night? James Marsters was wonderful.

Here's the show/game's promotional web page on the subject: [link]

There's a lot of in-depth information on the wikipedia page, but some of it is spoilery.

ETA: this photo gives me hope that we'll get to see Derek take on full alpha form in the upcoming season of Teen Wolf.

So, someone mapped the TARDIS. Cool!
