I didn't get a preview, but I'm fairly certain we get new Who next week. (We skip Memorial Day weekend.)
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I just finished watching the second showing of Doctor Who and I did get a preview for next week: Martha is back!
I think you can say that black font.
My feed was being kooky first time around - perhaps that's there was an issue and that's why we didn't get to see it first time around.
It'll be cool to have Martha back - I wonder if the giant surprise is dimension shifty Rose.
Over at TWOP people caught Shakespeare in Baltar's sermon - did you guys? I don't know Shakespeare well enough to catch a random quote; plus, he was difficult to hear.
I didn't get a previewthe first time either, so it wasn't just you.
Oh, another thing I loved was the Simpsons shoutout on tonight's Doctor Who.
Oh, another thing I loved was the Simpsons shoutout on tonight's Doctor Who.
Oh, that was great! I also thought of it as a Jack O'Niell shoutout!
I went looking to find out what Simpson's shoutout Frankenbuddha was referring to, and found two Dr Who Youtube clips very unrelated.
The first, is a [link] that has a Dr Who spoof with David Tennant in drag.
The second is a [link] that has David Tennant teaching a class with Catherine Tate as a "student."
Both are very...odd.
But not as odd as Simpsons/Muppet show/Procaimers crossover pastiche that floored Andi and I first: [link]
After the first couple of joke bits, the setting the opening of Dr Who with the sound from the opening of the Muppet Show worked in a bizarre and fascinating way.
Okay, I've only watched the Tate/Tennant so far and it's HYSTERICAL. Such delight.
I shouldn't even be in here before watching BSG, but I'm so traumatised by SJA! Poor Maria! Poor Sarah Jane! Poor Dad! Poor entire planet Earth! Nasty Andrea. It's way more disturbing that I was expecting from the target age range.
Hey, Eureka marathon on Sunday!
I think that the SJA stories just get better and better.
