Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

'Objects In Space'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. Once the ice warier got out of his suit, pretty much nothing happened for the next half hour.

Compassionately intolerant

Phew. I'm so glad it wasn't just me thinking that.

How sad that the much-touted 50th anniversary year is turning out to be so blah.

Bad writing Moffat. No biscuit.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Gatiss wrote tonight's ep.

I stand corrected, but no less disappointed.

In fact, even more so! Both of them have done work I have loved but none of the episodes so far this season have engaged me much at all.

Normally, I get so excited for new Who, but I noticed today that I wasn't even looking forward to it.

That's just sad. My standards are not what you would call high.

They usually have me at Tardis.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I liked this episode more than last week's, I think. It was focused.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I love Clara*, but these episodes are not strong. Although I didn't hate last week's.

*Like, seriously would-run-away-to-another-planet-with-her love her.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Once again I find myself wondering why Russians are so British- sounding.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mostly last night's Who episode made me want to watch a MacGyver episode. I have a thing for Richard Dean Anderson that even the worst 1980s mullet can't diminish. and the cold war looms in the background of a lot of the show. No aliens, though. And no Clara.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Once again I find myself wondering why Russians are so British- sounding.

Do you think the TARDIS translator should give accents, rather than making it sound like they're your people?
