My living room has too much light in the afternoons for watching The Vikings. All I can see are torches and noses.
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
(hahaha) isn't that the truth. they film that show DARK.
Hmm, so the Vikings is fun? (Are fun? - whatever.) I might have to see if it's On Demand. . . on some weekend when I'm not moving.
My current knitting project is traveling in a larger version of .this.
Lost Girl was fun tonight
That was a pretty good one, right? The breakup, and then Lauren and Dyson at the bar, were both more touching than I would have guessed.
The bits around the plot were cool, but the emo gully suit bad guy and the 21 Jump Street plot that's basically a retread of their retread of Reptile Boy--those undercover dynamics irritate the living fuck out of me. I'm glad they tossed them aside so quickly, but while that makes the episode more watchable for me, I don't think it's good storytelling.
I did try really hard to believe Lauren's stated reasons for breaking up with Bo. Real hard. Is "you're hurting me" a bad thing to say out loud in those circumstances? As well as "I know you're not going to stop...you can't stop. Even though you really do want to. That's just part of you."?
Yeah, the plotty bits were pretty weak. I did enjoy Kenzi asserting her (and other humans') badassitude.
Those aren't bad things to say out loud, but they are not easy things to say out loud, and Lauren has never really been strikingly honest about her feelings. I do think that last week we saw her missing having a human life with human peers and coworkers, and I'm hoping the character s going to bail, because she generally bores me.
New Who tonight on BBCA, if my DVR is to be believed.
Yes, Who is back, and Orphan Black (the series with the replicas/clones/multiples) of that one girl also starts tonight. The only word on that I've seen is IO9, and I didn't read the article, just skim the top, and they liked it.
I'm hoping the character s going to bail, because she generally bores me.
I find her dry as all hell, but if we lose her, and now that we know that if Bo were to bite it, Kenzi would still have a keeper, the intersection with human life gets triter and triter, and I think it's something they should strive to maintain.
Just with someone less annoying than Lauren, and without putting Kenzie in a corner.
Oh, and Hale? Is he on vacation or something? I missed the explanation for his absence. Extra compelling Ashy duties?
