A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Yes, Who is back, and Orphan Black (the series with the replicas/clones/multiples) of that one girl also starts tonight. The only word on that I've seen is IO9, and I didn't read the article, just skim the top, and they liked it.
I'm hoping the character s going to bail, because she generally bores me.
I find her dry as all hell, but if we lose her, and now that we know that if Bo were to bite it, Kenzi would still have a keeper, the intersection with human life gets triter and triter, and I think it's something they should strive to maintain.
Just with someone less annoying than Lauren, and without putting Kenzie in a corner.
Oh, and Hale? Is he on vacation or something? I missed the explanation for his absence. Extra compelling Ashy duties?
Ooh. Thanks for the heads-up about Orphan Black. That looked intriguing.
Who:
"Is this what you do? Invite people into your snog-box?"
"It's not a SNOG-BOX!"
This should be interesting. At least she didn't
die again.
In re: chris' whitefont, I absolutely _loved_ the Doctor's physical reactions in that scene. It's my favorite thing about his characterization.
I have to confess that there were just a couple of moments that really engaged me in this episode. I couple of great concepts but in general, it didn't really grab me.
Damn, my cable or my Tivo appears to have dropped BBCA again. So annoying.
But there are other methods! Anyway I found that episode both creepy and amusing.
Does anyone else think that
the woman in the shop who gave Clara the number is Donna Noble?
Also, what 24 year old in a developed nation
doesn't know about Twitter?
Oh, see, I was thinking
Sally Sparrow.
Right? I was guessing that the joke was originally
Tumblr, but they decided that was too niche.
The episode aired in the U.S. so we don't need to white font, right?
I thought it was hilarious that even brainwashed, the minions all updated their Facebook pages with where they worked. Less hilarious and more terrifying was what happened to the head honcho once the Great Intelligence disconnected itself from her. That poor little girl...
I loved Orphan Black - anyone else watch? The lead actress is just fantastic, I had no idea she was American (Canadian?) until I saw her on the Nerdist right after.
I'm so proud of the channel guys, they are turning out some GREAT stuff this year. (Sorry Copper, you were a good first try, but ultimately just really really boring.)
A 24 year old who is looking for "the internet" on her computer doesn't strike me as a 24 year old who's down with the tweeting. She was carefully established as thoroughly inept. How you get that way without transplanting an 81 year old mind into your body is difficult, but they were consistent with that facet.
