A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Isn't the fae vs. human ability to feed Bo a pretty core concept? It has gotten at least two episodes of focus--her initial feeding off Dyson, and the weirdness at the start of the relationship with Lauren. If they got that wrong, they'd need to be sent back to the writers room with no supper, as well as the actors who didn't catch the right reaction for their characters.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I was actually super annoyed by the last episode of Lost Girl. Too much focus on the wonderfulness of Bo. I never have liked ultimate tests where the way to pass is getting in touch with your true self. This goes double when the "true self" is that of Bo.

Plus Kenzie actually seemed to accept her status as pet. I'm attributing it to trauma from being captured, starved and tortured over a long period of time.

Those are major objections. I also have a minor quibble: Nobody noticed that when Bo saved Dyson her alternate personality was expressing an intention to conquer the world? I never thought much of Dyson's intelligence, and ever since Trick failed to spot faux-Kenzie as faux I've decided he is dumber than dirt. But I would think Kenzie and Lauren would have noticed. I wonder what it will take to stop this being one of my shows?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, Fae vitality versus human is a core concept. It's just that the concept played out without any fanfare, the writing didn't hang a picture on it.

Maybe I'm so used to low standards in SF/F TV that when the action is unobtrusively true to previously set conditions, I'm pleased.

Dyson not picking up on Bo going All Dark Galadriel gets a pass, having been Mostly Dead at the time, but not so Trick, but it may have gotten overlooked because of the Dyson coming back.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wow, the last two episodes of The Walking Dead were pretty terrible.

I thought they were very cinematic.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I think it's been pretty good lately.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Not including last night's episode, which I haven't seen yet. The one with Lennie James was so good, and since then it's been all blah blah talk and poor decision making.

Well, at least Andrea finally made a good decision. That almost counts as character development!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I'm not sure if I think the previous two eps of TWD have been "terrible" - but I cannot get over the character assassination of Andrea. I just can't get over it. I have no idea why the writers thought it was good for them to portray Andrea the ways they have, but it is ridiculous. I cannot remain in the show because just about every time she is on screen I have thought bubbles about her character, her actions, the things she says, that take me right out of the show.

Last night's episode, my one comment to Beau was: "so help me, if at this point Michonne gets brutalized, I'm out. I'm serious."

From the ending of last week's episode, it seems they may give that to Andrea instead.
