Fay, I'd love to hear what you think of SCC. It's my new favorite show.
Connor ,'Not Fade Away'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
BBC sends legal threat over fan's Dr Who knitting patterns: [link]
Who does the BBC think they are? Fox?
t edit Better link with photo! [link]
It looks like Cthulhu got to the Doctor.
My favorite comment from the Open Rights Group link:
All Mazz has to do is repost the patterns with each getting funny nicknames, like “Cthulhu Enjoys Juicebox” or whatnot.
She had a really cute, amazingly accurate Adipose up within hours of the episode airing.
So I am completely embarrassed that I didn't recognize that knitty as a creature as opposed to the Doctor (d'oh!!!).
Another embarrassing question - has Ten been wearing that, well, browncoat his entire run?
I believe so - that or something similar.
I'm glad we know what happened to Maria's annoying friend now.
love how the Doctor and Donna's chant ended up sounding like the tree frog sound used for the Ood. "Doctor! Donna! Friend!" Pretty freaking genius.
The writing for Donna and her sympathies seemed a bit wonky this ep, like they were trying to shoe-horn in "Donna is compassionate" into the ep, and yet she was so very awesome during the Pompei ep and it felt Right.
I don't know, maybe I'm almost expecting her to hold onto her prejudices against aliens given her introduction into the universe. She just seems to have a switch that doesn't seem in character, as much as I understand her.
And also? She really is having crap experiences with the Doctor. I'm brain-cramping, did Rose and Martha have a comparable streak of awfulness?
edit: "Every song must end"? eep!

However, given this episode and what I heard about a scene cut from the US airing of the Pompeii episode, the two of them are making some serious inroads as deities in a few places.
And aren't almost ALL Doctor Who adventures premised world and/or life threatening catastrophes/incidents?
BSG: See, THIS plan makes much more sense. I am saddened that they had to injure Gaeta to arrive at the plan.
