A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm starting to watch DS9 all the way through (just a few eps into season one so far), it's streaming on Netflix and I think I missed a couple of seasons in the middle. TNG was my favorite, but I find I have no desire to watch reruns of it now. I only watched a little of Voyager, I didn't have good reception on the channel it aired on. Which was also true for the early seasons of Buffy, but I was willing to suffer the static in that case.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was rooting for Enterprise during the first season, and then it went WAY WAY WAY WAY downhill. (And then supposedly it got better again but by then I was once burned twice shy.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think it got better once Manny Coto was put in charge.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I saw the first season I think and then I bailed. There is one ep that sticks out in my mind more than any other "Silent Enemy" where they try to find out a crew member's favorite food for his birthday. I'm not sure why that stuck out. I don't remember the A plot but that search for his favorite food stuck with me.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Me, too, -t! I'm in Season 4 right now. I think it's the best of the franchise in every way. I was startled to recognize the name of the writer of one of the episodes I watched tonight - Jane Esperson! I didn't know she wrote for them.

Oh, cool, we can compare notes!

And I will have to pay some attention to the credits...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They definitely dove in hard with arcs on DS9. TNG had recurring themes and characters, but didn't follow many conflicts in similar durations and details as DS9--perhaps the more stationary nature of the Trek leant more in that direction?

Also--Sisko is my favourite Captain (I think gets that designation by a hair, for a while), and for all I see image macros extolling Kirk's rough and ready approach to aliens to Picard's cool and calculated strategies, I'm not sure why they're ignoring Benjamin, and his Stardate Hawk was much better once TPTB stopped fighting any perceived and let him lose the hair and gain the gusto.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sisko is my favourite Captain (I think gets that designation by a hair, for a while)

If that’s your criteria, then Janeway has way more hair than Picard, Sisko or Kirk.

Prioritising quantity over quality? Nay, sir. Not ever.
