I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know if I just accumulated enough exposition to get the world finally, or if this episode was better, but I am pretty into Continuum as of this week. There is still a bunch of stuff about the premise that I don't understand, but I don't mind so much.

Being Human got pretty weird with the ghost stuff. I don't know.

Dyson getting to be other than staid and stoic, yay! And Kenzi kicking ass! Woo, fun!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought the episode of Lost Girl was amazingly bad. Worse than the season opener, even.

Kenzi--I still love, Hale I miss, and the Dyson actor I like more than Dyson. Trick is also cool, and I think I can take or leave (mostly leave) the rest--I'm glad to see the back of Vex for a while, the Morrigan is an inconsistent caricature, Tamsin is okay...she could turn out to be fun, actually, and Bo is still completely perplexing when it comes to the attention, love, and loyalty she inspires. And Lauren almost too boring to mention.

How old were they being regressed to, do you think? Too young to be put over your lap and spanked? It seemed a weird mix of five and post-puberty. I also didn't know that the Fae aged into their powers--so do they all seem human until they blossom?

It started weakly, tho. I hate the device of "Hey, you remember all those encounters we had just a moment ago for which this show could never afford the FX? Weren't those just wild?" Yes, kids. Totes wild.

Yeah, nothing about the age regression parasite made any sense to me. I kind of liked Hale acting like an actual Fae leader with the Morrigan, him being Ash could get interesting.

the Dyson actor I like more than Dyson

Well put. Which is why I enjoy anytime he gets to be in-Dyson-like. "I got to be Kenzi - nailed it!" Made me LOL even if it doesn't really make sense from the character's perspective.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I hate hate what they have done with Vex. Until the Garuda, he was low rent Joker, a clown, but dangerous and frightening. Turning him just comic relief was bad enough. Woobifying him badly, but woobifying - just a thousand times no. Not the biggest problem with the show, but a good example of how they keep making bad writing choices.

I never found him dangerous, but it seemed clear that once he played on their team he wouldn't really betray them outside a Very Special Episode as opposed to episode 3 or whatever. But he's been irritating and a waste of space for me the whole time.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

a tv movie about the creation of the Doctor Who series

Weird! I assumed that meant a documentary, until I clicked through.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I thought Lost Girl's ep was incredibly bad. I thought the affected Fae were to regress to younger than puberty - because apparently they get full access to their powers at puberty. So I figured they were supposed to be 10-year-olds, but at times they acted a bit younger than that.

"Spin the Bottle" was so much better.
