I saw parts of episodes of "Charlie Jade" when I was in South Africa a few years ago. Though I never saw a full episode, the show looked pretty cool. I will watch this on Sci-Fi.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Huh. We made it through four episodes of Charlie Jade and then deleted the rest from the computer.
I might give it a second try, though I wonder if Sci-Fi will stick with it through all 20 episodes.
New shows and scheduling updates for Scifi shows.
Eureka's getting 21 episodes this year.
Exactly.
But much like BSG they're splitting the season and not letting us know when we're going to have the second half.
(First half starts in July.)
They're kind of splitting the shooting, but he will mostly be away for one big block. He leaves pretty soon too.
I watched all of Charlie Jade.
Unspoilery comments: it is beautifully-made. Gorgeous production design, used consistently throughout the series. The writing is possibly too smart for its own good: it's often hard to follow the very complicated plot.
The acting is okay but not great, generally. The guy who plays Charlie just comes across to me as a low-rent Matthew Fox (who I don't think is all that great either). He's not capable of the range the character needs, or mature enough to pull off the noirish world-weary cynicism of the character. I was unimpressed.
The cast is nicely multi-ethnic, with a fair number of women, most of whom are fairly active. Though there is one woman who I found appallingly passive and uninteresting--and the actress wasn't very good, either.
Over all, I'd say it's a decent series, with a lot of smarts behind it, and very stylishly-done, but it's lacking some narrative stickiness. I rarely found myself compelled to watch multiple episodes in a row. Possibly they just didn't give me any characters to really attach to.
Spaced the Complete Series is coming out on DVD in North America on July 22nd.
I just caught up with BSG last night, and I'm with Jessica: I like the pacing of this season so far, although I recognize that we're in the minority.
Someone should do a survey which tracks correlation between liking this season of BSG and liking Terrence Malick movies.
I like this season of BSG - I just liked last episode less than I was expecting to.
