I watched all of Charlie Jade.
Unspoilery comments: it is beautifully-made. Gorgeous production design, used consistently throughout the series. The writing is possibly too smart for its own good: it's often hard to follow the very complicated plot.
The acting is okay but not great, generally. The guy who plays Charlie just comes across to me as a low-rent Matthew Fox (who I don't think is all that great either). He's not capable of the range the character needs, or mature enough to pull off the noirish world-weary cynicism of the character. I was unimpressed.
The cast is nicely multi-ethnic, with a fair number of women, most of whom are fairly active. Though there is one woman who I found appallingly passive and uninteresting--and the actress wasn't very good, either.
Over all, I'd say it's a decent series, with a lot of smarts behind it, and very stylishly-done, but it's lacking some narrative stickiness. I rarely found myself compelled to watch multiple episodes in a row. Possibly they just didn't give me any characters to really attach to.
